Justin Sun will make an announcement during Consensus 2019 about a new partnership for his project TRON. According to Sun, ‘another tech giant’ will start using TRON this quarter.
The founder of TRON took to Twitter on Monday to announce that BitTorrent, the peer-to-peer file sharing protocol that he bought in 2018, will launch on TRON in Q2. Sun added to that: ‘Glad to also announce another tech giant with hundreds of millions of users will be enabling TRON ecosystem in Q2 as well. Guess who? To be revealed soon on Consensus 2019.’

Q2 is already coming to an end in about six weeks, so things will have to move fast for Sun and TRON. More details are expected during the Consensus 2019 conference in New York, that will start on Monday.
Because of the announcement of Sun that BitTorrent will launch on TRON, the BTT token is one of the best performing altcoins today, rising 5%. TRON is not really reacting to the announcement of an announcement by Sun, and is down 3,6% in the last 24 hours.

On Friday, Sun was interviewed during TNW2019 about his marketing tactics, such as speculating about cryptocurrency prices and making announcements of partnerships that weren’t partnerships at all, like the one with Liverpool FC.
Sun reacted to that with: “I definitely know I have a great impact on the community and the cryptocurrency price. When Binance got hacked the other day, the Bitcoin price dropped from $5900 to $5700. Then I posted a tweet in which I said that I would send $40 million (the amount that got stolen from Binance) in USDT to support Binance. And the price went back up right away.”
A day later, Sun speculated on the price again, saying that ten years ago and today are the best times to buy Bitcoin following the BTC pump.
That same day, the TRON project took a beating after their CTO decided to leave the project, because he thinks ‘TRON is no longer decentralized’.
