Cardano Investors Sell Amid Bitcoin Drop, ADA Down 32%

  • Cardano (ADA) sheds 32.7 percent week-to-date
  • Emurgo releases Yoroi update

There’s a new Yoroi wallet update introducing further improvements like the hide balance option. However, that is not enough to support ADA as prices are down 32.7 percent.

Cardano Price Analysis

Fundamentals

Research and peer-reviewing of code underpin Cardano. Promising to dislodge Ethereum as the king of smart contracting, the Cardano development team is after perfecting their system.

Delaying in phase transition, their leaning on quality and satisfactory experimentation is top priority. Presently, Shelly test net is live. While developers nitpick code, searching for vulnerabilities, the transition from centralization to decentralization is exciting for ADA supporters.

If anything, this phase shift is critical as it could set the ground for a possible listing at Coinbase. Should that be the case, then surely, the native coin, ADA, may benefit from the famed but fading “Coinbase Effect.”

Then again, there is Yoroi’s update. Aside from guaranteed security, since it is running from a sandbox with APIs to Fasttrack developments, the new upgrade introduces several enhancements to the web wallet. Some of them include:

  • Ability to add Cardano payment URLs.
  • A hide balance option
  • New warning message if the connection to our server fails
  • Indonesian language

Candlestick Arrangements

Cardano ADA

Bullish in the long run, bears are merciless. In two short weeks, ADA is down 32.7 percent in the last week along. Trading within a bullish breakout pattern, buyers have a chance at least in the medium term.

For now, bears are in a pole position following the breach and close below the main support line at 6 cents. Note that the move is in response to the over-extension of the week ending April 7 and confirmation of sell pressure of the better part of 2018.

In that case, like most digital assets, every high is technically a selling opportunity with an awareness that ADA, if BTC continues to drop, could register new lows in a bear trend continuation phase.

However, that is subject primarily to the strength of breakouts driving prices below 3.5 cents and later Dec 2018 lows.

Technical Indicators

As aforementioned, a better gauge for sellers depend on participation in upcoming weeks. If there is a spike, surpassing those of the week ending June 30 at 2 billion, odds are bears of 2018 will flow back. As a result, ADA will likely close below 3 cents, more than halving from June 2019 peaks.

  • Petition against Cardano Founder to cancel planned MMA fight with Crypto-YouTuber Chico Crypto
  • Cardano community skeptical about the proposed MMA fight between Cardano founder and crypto-YouTuber Chico Crypto

The co-founder of Ethereum (ETH) and maker of Cardano (ADA) Charles Hoskinson is supposed to have an MMA fight with the prominent crypto-related YouTuber Chico Crypto. Although, some members of the Cardano community do not seem to buy the idea of him going move forward with this MMA Fight.

Sharing his view on this proposed fight, a member of the Cardano community with the user name “adam241091” on Reddit stated that the fight that Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson wants to involve himself in is “the worst Cardano related news” he has ever seen. He further added that this is even worse than the delays the Cardano team is having on their projects.

In his post which he titled “Petition for Charles Hoskinson to cancel this ‘MMA fight’” as the fight according to him would affect the trust in Cardano negatively, the whole project and in Charles Hoskinson himself.

Still, on the subject matter, the Redditor stated: “As it was written in another Reddit post, just when Shelley is finally about to be deployed and Cardano to go decentralized and proof of stake ready,

credibility and attention start to flow, this MMA story is a nightmare for Cardano.”

The Cardano team is working effortlessly to release the Shelley testnet and the incentivized testnet for its users. This has been a major step for the Cardano supporters and for the whole project that was in a growing stage since it was declared a few years ago. Besides, according to the Redditor, the decision by Charles Hoskinson to fight Chico Crypto has made him lose trust in the whole ecosystem.

Adam241091 even suggested to Mr. Hoskinson that if he wants to set a challenge to recuperate his energy, he could as well just run a marathon with a t-shirt with a Cardano logo on it. He states that a fight with a YouTuber is a no-no. According to him, his post on Reddit is a petition for Charles Hoskinson to cancel the fight for the good of Cardano.

Jason Appleton (@jasonappleton) has planned a fighting match between YouTuber ChicoCrypto and Cardano (ADA) Founder, Ch

arles Hoskinson. The sole aim of the boxing match is to raise money for St. Judes Children’s Hospital. The proposed fight started as a joke which is gradually seeming to become a reality.

ChicoCrypto has also asserted his intent to go through with the fight. The confirmation was made public when ChicoCrypto confirmed to his viewer his intention of going through with the fight during his live stream on YouTube. The fight is slated for August 2020, giving both parties ample time to prepare. The proposed fight between the Cardano founder and ChicoCrypto has encouraged others to envisage other leaders in the cryptocurrency world going head-to-head for a good cause.

Commenting on this, @JackofAltcoins states that there are some fights in the cryptocurrency world that many people would pay to see. Responding to @jasonappleton’s tweet, @JackofAltcoins stated that: The fight card should be:@IOHK_Charles vs @ChicoCrypto @ProfFaustus vs @cz_binance @justinsuntron vs @jaredctate @rogerkver vs @[email protected] vs @bytemaster7 @RichardHeartWin vs @ToneVays @CalvinAyre vs @PeterMcCormack.”

The same way some people are thrilled about the news, some are triggered. A particular user with the handle @MrTicketTaker states that he is not thrilled about the news and hopes it dies down soon. He went thus: “I hope this whole thing dies. I don’t look forward to hearing about this for the next 9 months while I sift through the latest ADA news. I hope you both just agree to let this die and donate to whatever charity.”

In an unexpected turn, we may soon see the first MMA match between two figures in the cryptocurrency world. Jason Appleton (@jasonappleton) has set up a fighting match between YouTuber ChicoCrypto and Cardano (ADA) Founder, Charles Hoskinson. The boxing match will be done with the intention of sharing all the profits with St. Judes Children’s Hospital. What started off as a joke may actually end up becoming reality.

Hoskinson responded to Appleton’s request with a definitive ‘yes.’ “Let’s raise a million for the kids,” he writes. He seemed ready and eager to go through with the plan.

ChicoCrypto has also affirmed his intention to go through with the fight. He confirmed his intention of taking on Hoskinson during his own live stream. The fight is supposed to be in August 2020, which gives both fighters around 9 months to prepare.

The planned fight between the Cardano founder and ChicoCrypto has inspired others to

amusingly imagine other leaders in the cryptocurrency world going head-to-head. As Altcoin Jack (@JackofAltcoins) writes, there are quite a few fights that many in the cryptocurrency world would probably pay to see.

Some, however, were not amused and even annoyed that this story was clogging up “real news” on Cardano (ADA). One user writes that he doesn’t look forward to hearing about this for the next 9 months and hopes “this whole thing dies.”

The idea probably came from the recent boxing match between KSI and Logan Paul which amassed significant media buzz. Although nowhere on the same level, the fight between ChicoCrypto and the Cardano founder would undeniably bring significant buzz to the industry, albeit for the wrong reasons some would say. Recently, ChicoCrypto drew attention to himself by claiming that Bakkt was Wall Street’s attack on Bitcoin.

For now, the fight is on—and if the two do end up raising “millions for the kids,” then it’d be a net positive for everyone. The naysayers may be proven wrong after all if it’s all for a good cause.
