Coinbase, founded in June of 2012 and one of the most well known digital asset exchanges in the world, has added a Pound sterling pair for XRP.
A potential XRP listing was widely discussed and speculated upon for a long time. After years of endless rumors and speculation, Coinbase finally listed XRP in February 2019, with XRP/USD, XRP/EUR, and XRP/BTC pairs. A few months later, in November 2019, Coinbase also added XRP to its crypto Visa debit card.
On July 15, Coinbase announced its intention of adding the following pairs to its platform on the 21st of July: ALGO-EUR, ALGO-GBP, LINK-EUR, LINK-GBP, XRP-GBP and XTZ-EUR, XTZ-GBP.
According to our research, Coinbase will become the 21st exchange offering a GBP/XRP pair, making it the third most popular fiat currency for XRP, after the USD (72 exchanges) and the EUR (56 exchanges).
