Coinbase is adding Shiba Inu (SHIB), Chiliz (CHZ) and Keep Network (KEEP) to its professional cryptocurrency trading platform, the crypto exchange announced in a blog post. Coinbase Pro users could transfer the tokens into their accounts as of June 15, and trading began at 9 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
- Coinbase added the world’s most popular memecoin, Dogecoin (DOGE), to its professional trading platform earlier this month, causing Dogecoin prices to spike more than 20% in the 24 hours following the listing.
- Named after the breed of dog that inspired the creation of DOGE, Shiba Inu saw an explosion in price in early May, further consolidating the role of meme coins in the crypto industry. Shiba Inu’s price rose 23% in the 24 hours following the Coinbase announcement and is currently trading at US$0.000008743.
- CHZ is an Ethereum token that allows traders to interact with supporting sporting teams, and KEEP is also an Ethereum token aiming to bridge public blockchains with private data. CHZ is trading at US$0.32, up 12% in the last 24 hours, and KEEP’s price rose to US$0.55, or 5.4% higher in the last 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap as of publication time.
