Neopets, the famous magic pet simulation game, will launch its first NFT collection in partnership with Solana’s Raydium. After more than 20 years of tradition, this is the first time JumpStart Games has expanded its business into the crypto market.
Initially, Neopets will gain a collection of 20,500 NFT algorithmically generated pets. Each pet will be unique and will have different species, colors, clothes, personalities and assets.
At the moment, Neopets will only be collectible stickers. However, the developer does not rule out the possibility of transforming game characters into NFT.
The new collection of NFT Neopets will be launched on Raydium’s DropZone platform. The project is linked to the new NFTs launched by Solana in 2021.
JumpStart Games and Raydium have not yet shared an official release date.
Neopets brand resurfaces in NFT environment
Very popular in the early 2000s, the game Neopets was part of the history of most current investors in cryptocurrencies. For this reason, investing in the new collection becomes much more than just purchasing assets.
In recent weeks, several successful projects between the 1980s and 2000s announced NFT collections that stir the affective memory of the public. Last week, for example, Habbo fans won the game’s first collection of NFTs.
Other famous characters, such as the Bratz, have also released NFT collections. In addition, famous brands like Atari have also closed partnerships in the crypto world.
