Amid all the heavy money rains into the meme cryptocurrencies, Floki Inu (FLOKI) joins the list. The meme cryptocurrency has shot up by more than 50% in the last 24 hours as star performer Shiba Inu (SHIB) goes on the rest mode after the mammoth rally.
It looks like investors have been pulling money out of Dogecoin (DOGE) and moving the same into Floki Inu (FLOKI) and Dogecoin (DOGE). Furthermore, the aggressive marketing campaigns by Floki Inu coin promoters have helped gain traction to the meme crypto.
Over the last few weeks, the London public transportation system has been flooded with ads of “Floki Inu”. Tube stations, buses, and trains in London have seen physical adverts with the slogan “Missed Doge? Get Floki”. In a Medium post last month, the promoters of the coin wrote:
“To keep momentum moving, Floki Inu is assaulting the market with very targeted and aggressive marketing campaigns. These advertising campaigns will run together and will be a full-out assault of the London public transportation system.”
Floki said that it has already contracted for spending $1.5 million in advertising. Earlier today, the FLOKI price touched an all-time high of $0.00020. The meme cryptocurrency valuations have shot up by 4x in the last 2 days registering a solid 300% gain.
The Craze Around Meme Cryptocurrencies
As said the recent rally in FLOKI comes at a time amid the investor mania around meme cryptocurrencies. The Shiba Inu (INU) stormed the market over the last few weeks becoming the top-ten cryptocurrency by market cap.
However, after hitting an all-time high of $0.0008 earlier this week, the SHIB crypto has been resting for a while and other players like FLOKI and Dogecoin have taken the lead. The investor frenzy around meme cryptocurrencies remains at an all-time high this year. It will be interesting to see if FLOKI can continue with its price rally by following the SHIB route.
Floki Inu ($FLOKI) Community Uses Petition to Request Binance Listing
The community behind the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Floki Inu ($FLOKI) has started a petition asking leading cryptocurrency trading platform Binance for a listing on it. Getting listed on such an exchange would significantly improve the cryptocurrency’s liquidity.
Through a petition created on Change.org that has already gathered over 14,000 signatures, the cryptocurrency’s community has pointed out that in just four months, $FLOKI is one of the top 70 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, with a market cap of $2.6 billion.
The petition adds that the cryptocurrency has grown to have over 310,000 holders and a trading volume of over $280 million, despite not being listed on any major centralized exchange like Coinbase or Binance.
Notably, the cryptocurrency’s rival meme-inspired crypto Shiba Inu ($SHIB), has been listed on Binance, Coinbase, Huobi, KuCoin, Bitfinex, and other major cryptocurrency trading platforms. SHIB has, however, resorted to a petition to be listed on another exchange, the commission-free trading platform Robinhood. That petition has garnered over 500,000 signatures.
In its petition, Floki mentioned its “super aggressive marketing campaigns worldwide” which it claims is helping it become a “more recognized cryptocurrency compared to many cryptocurrencies in the top 10 [by market capitalization].”
As reported, FLOKI’s price surged last month after it launched a campaign on London’s public transport system with the slogan “Missed Doge? Get Floki” in a bid to “legitimize” the cryptocurrency and increase the “confidence of the average consumer” to buy it, according to the project’s head of marketing, which went by Sabre.
That campaign triggered a cryptocurrency ad crackdown that saw London’s transport authority, Transport for London, reveal concerns about the ads as these were promoting a little-known, unregulated financial asset that they claim could be open to manipulation such as pump-and-dump schemes. Floki Inu’s team hit back, saying the crackdown was “an attack against cryptocurrency and against the people’s freedom of choice.”
Notably, the Floki Inu community has also created a petition to get listed on the Nasdaq-listed cryptocurrency trading platform Coinbase. That petition has been signed by over 30,000 users at press time.
Long live the memes: Canada’s Ask The Doctor integrates DOGE, Shiba Inu and Floki Inu
- Ask The Doctor started off by integrating Dogecoin claiming its low fees make it ideal for payments on its telehealth platform.
- It then conducted a poll between Floki Inu and Shiba Inu, and despite the latter winning, it decided to add both as payment options.
Long live the memes! This is the message that a Canadian telehealth startup is broadcasting to the world after integrating three of the most popular meme coins for payments. Ask The Doctor has added Dogecoin, Shiba Inu and Floki Inu for payments at a time when the three have been gaining traction in real-life uses as they shed off the “joke coin” moniker.
When Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus created Dogecoin, they had no idea that their joke coin would become a legitimate payment option. But it is, and its latest application is in the medical services field.
Dogecoin accepeted for healthcare services with our partners starting Monday ….$doge #dogecoin @elonmusk @mcuban @BillyM2k @dogecoin @kevinolearytv @ProTheDoge @MattWallace888 @Krypto_Kyle @MikeDavisYT pic.twitter.com/mypM0K1vtL— Ask The Doctor ® (@askthedr) November 17, 2021
Ask The Doctor is a Canadian telehealth platform and medical information website. It was founded in 2014 by former NHL star Israel Idonije, NBA All-Star Dikembe Mutombo and three other doctors. It first gained global recognition in May 2015 when it sprung to action to help the people of Nepal following a devastating earthquake that killed over 130 people and left over 3,200 homeless.
The platform has grown aggressively since then and has acquired other startups such as Sehat, India’s largest medical resource and Patients Connected, A British patients platform.
Following the announcement, Ask The Doctor explained that one of the biggest reasons that it took to DOGE was its very low transaction fees.
And for all those that attack Dogecoin as nothing but a meme coin without utility, the platform had a response:
Money is nothing but imagined reality. If someone wants to pay for services using a “dog token” and a business like ours is willing to accept it for something as important as healthcare services….then that is all that matters.
Prakash Chand, one of the founders of the platforms, is even convinced that through initiatives like this, DOGE can even hit a higher market cap than Bitcoin in due time.
“I’m convinced DOGE will have the highest utility as a global currency because of their speed to settle a transaction and low fees per transaction,” he stated.
And the platform didn’t stop there. It lobbied the Dogefather, Elon Musk, and Dogecoin founder Billy Markus to kickstart a fund that would pool resources together in DOGE geared towards helping people in third-world countries who can’t afford basic healthcare.
Shortly after announcing that it would integrate Dogecoin for payments, Ask The Doctor held an online poll asking its community which cryptocurrency they wanted next, with Floki Inu and Shiba Inu being the options. And even though Shiba Inu won, it decided to add both as payment options.
Looks like we have to add $shib as well…. Ask The Doctor , pay for healthcare services with $doge , $shib and $floki ….long live the memes! https://t.co/qJG9B5mCIj— Ask The Doctor ® (@askthedr) November 23, 2021
Ask The Doctor already accepts Bitcoin and five other cryptocurrencies as payment. At the time, the platform claimed that Bitcoin would add an extra layer of privacy for its patients and would extend its services to users who didn’t have a credit card.
Our overall goal is to democratize access to health care, and offering Bitcoin is consistent with this goal.
Floki breaks into Serie A and La Liga with new partnerships
Floki has just partnered with one of the biggest, oldest and most popular football clubs, S.S.C Napoli. S.S.C Napoli was founded in 1926 and is one of the most popular professional teams in Italy. The club won its first Serie A title in 1987 led by the football icon Diego Maradona and is currently sitting in first place in the league for the current season. During the partnership, Floki will be prominently featured on the back of the S.S.C. Napoli jersey.
Possibly one of the most fun parts of this new partnership comes with some of the club’s upcoming matches, including the one between S.S. Lazio, a Binance-sponsored football club, and S.S.C Napoli, which will be played on Sunday, Nov. 28. S.S.C Napoli will also be playing other powerhouse clubs like Milan, Atalanta and Roma. Serie A is one of the most popular and strongest football leagues globally, boasting millions of viewers for every match.
This partnership comes on the heels of several other announced partnerships with other football clubs and athlete icons, such as the Kerala Blasters from the Indian Super League, the Spanish La Liga’s Cádiz, and Tyson Fury. All of this comes from the massive marketing push currently underway from Floki.
Cádiz is one of the oldest football clubs in La Liga and a very familiar brand in Spain. The Floki logo and website will be featured on their Jersey sleeve for the rest of this season (which lasts until May 2022) and there will be a LED display of Floki’s brand and website during all of Cádiz’s home games as well as on their fan-focused promotional assets.
Cádiz will be playing with giants like Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Madrid this season and the Floki brand will benefit from the massive exposure of the audiences that these great football leagues attract. La Liga is the third biggest professional football league in the world with a cumulative audience of over 2.8 billion global viewers during its peak season, and this partnership will truly push Floki mainstream and get all eyes on the Floki brand where it truly matters.
In addition to Cádiz, Floki will be Kerala Blasters’ sleeve sponsor for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL). The partnership will also result in the Floki brand being LED displayed at all home matches along with other fan-focused promotional assets.
The Indian Super League is the fifth most popular football league in the world with over 130 million passionate fans. Floki’s strategic partnership with Kerala Blasters FC will help Floki go mainstream in India and introduce the Floki brand to over 100 million ISL fans all over the world.
Floki is a movement token inspired by an Elon Musk tweet in which he said his Shiba Inu would be be named Floki. Floki is striving to provide clear and beneficial utility to its token, all while cultivating a vibrant community around one of the most exciting memes in the crypto space. Floki completes the Dogecoin trilogy. Dogecoin was the beginning. Shiba Inu coin created a token around a specific breed of dog. Floki creates a token around a specific dog identity.
